Workshop Mission

This workshop will provide a venue to share and discuss best MEMS educational practices amongst an international group of academic and industrial participants from the US, Europe and Asia. The workshop agenda will begin with a review of past activities on this topic, followed by a review of programs and needs by an international panel from academia and industry, and finally discussion of current practices, challenges, and potential solutions. Organized breakout sessions will allow attendees share and generate ideas in small groups focused on subtopics. The workshop will precede the International MEMS 2008 Conference in Tucson, AZ on January 13, 2008, which provides an ideal and convenient venue for broad international participation. Junior faculty and students will be invited to attend the workshop to offer new perspectives and to help integrate MEMS educational practices into their respective universities.
